Post Process of Absolute Irradiance
Q. Can I go back and post-process (e.g., Color Measurement) an absolute irradiance spectrum that I have saved previously?
A. Certainly, however we do not recommend this as it is considerably more tedious then just doing the color measurement during the initial acquisition.
1. First load your .ProcSpec file from your absolute irradiance measurement using File?Load Processed Spectrum…
2. Right click on the picture of the spectrum under Data Sources and select save spectrum
3. Click on Sample spectrum in the chart and save this file as sample.txt in tab delimited format.
4. Next load the sample file you just saved using File?Load Spectra Collection…
5. A picture of for the sample.txt file should appear under Data Sources
6. Start a new absolute irradiance measurement by clicking File?New?Absolute Irradiance Measurement
7. Select New spectral acquisition and click Next
8. Select the sample.txt file in the next window and click Next

9. Select Get Calibration from File and click Next. It is critical that you use the calibration file that was used for the original Absolute Irradiance Measurement!
10. Browse to the location of the file, select it, and click Next.
11. Enter the collection area for the original measurement and click Next
12. This is also critically important for the Absolute Irradiance, Photometry, and Energy Power Photons outputs. You must input the integration time of the original absolute irradiance measurement. The colorimetric values will be unaffected (with the exception of XYZ).
13. Click on Browse… in the window for saving a dark spectrum.
14. Select the .ProcSpec file from the original absolute irradiance measurement and click Open

15. Select the Dark spectrum and click Load

16. Clicking Finish brings up a graph displaying the absolute irradiance processing of the sample.txt file.

17. You can now proceed to the Color Measurement, Photometry, or Energy/Power/Photons processing as well.
